Marine Corps F 35 Takes Flight!

The MC version of the F 35, the STOVL version, has apparently taken flight!  That is, taken flight with the vertical fan engaged.  This is exciting news for us that take an interest in the future of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

While the other variants have flown for quite a while now,  this is the first article and photo that I’ve seen.  Come on and station them here!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Count your blessings

From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

Again this year, I find my self overwhelmed with the blessings all around me.  True, the market is down; true, things are tight; but I am surrounded by a wife and kids that love me and that I love and that are healthy, friends that are like family, and a warm, dry home.   We live in the greatest country the world has ever seen, no one is shooting at us, and we have optimism and hope for the coming year.  Truely, the Lord’s lovingkindness surrounds us, inspite of ourselves.  How can we not be thankful?

To my customers and clients, thanks for making the year what it has been, couldn’t do it without you.  To readers, ditto, I’ll be a better contributor in the coming year.  Keep those FRIENDLY tips coming!  Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Golf courses offer free round for active military, retirees and disabled vets | islandpacket.com

Just wanted to help get the word out about the free golf for my camo brothers in the Beaufort area.

I golf about once a year, just to remind myself why I don’t do it more often.  But I know lots and lots of my friends love it, and knock yourself out!  If I have that kind of time, I’ll try and get a line wet…

Shrimp Fest

What an evening for Shrimp Fest!  Almost full moon, high tide, great breeze… Who could ask for more??

If you didn’t make it tonight, you have tomorrow… well worth the trip!

Did you go?  Have a good time? Get enough to eat?  Let me hear from you!
